Mental Health & Wellness

Our vision is to foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where students are empowered to develop social-emotional skills to become empathetic, resilient and contributing members in their community.

The District provides school-based mental health/wellness services and resources to students and families. These services include short-term individual or group counseling for students at the school site; short-term, solution-focused therapy for students and families through the IUSD Family Counseling Center; and resource linkages to community-based mental health or social services for students and families. Services are provided by counselors or licensed mental health professionals.

Hazel Health

IUSD is proud to partner with Hazel Health, a telehealth behavioral health company. Through Hazel Health, IUSD students (K-12) are able to access virtual Mental Health and Wellness support from home. Hazel uses therapeutic processes delivered by licensed therapists. This service is being offered at no cost to IUSD students.
A parent/guardian may refer their student through a link found here or a referral can be made by the student’s counselor or mental health specialist. Students must have parent permission to enroll for services unless they are 18 or older.

Care Solace

In order to better serve our students, families, and staff, IUSD has partnered with Care Solace, which offers free and confidential services to connect families to outside mental health providers. Care Solace provides concierge services to assist families in navigating mental health services in the community.  To learn more, please contact the Woodbridge Mental Health Specialists Mr. Belsey or Ms. Ballard in the counseling office.
