Who should take summer School?
It’s advised that students refer to their transcript on their MyIUSD portal account to review grades earned in previous coursework. If failing grades were issued in high school graduation required coursework, it’s advised students consider summer school to remediate these courses to remain on track to graduate. If failing grades or grades of a “D” were earned in college preparatory coursework, it’s advised students consider summer school to remediate these courses to maintain college eligibility. Students can consult with their assigned counselor if they have questions regarding summer school. A limited number of classes will be available to students for advancement. Students must meet pre-requisites to qualify for advancement coursework. Please refer to the Summer School Course Catalog, for more information on advancement and remediation coursework
