ROP/Career Classes

Coastline Regional Occupational Program logo

Regional Occupation Program (ROP) courses provide students with a rich curriculum that has been aligned to state standards and evaluated by members of different sectors and industries.  Some courses meet the University of California’s visual and performing arts or elective requirements.  Many classes include internships at local business and industry sites where ROP students continue to improve their problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and work attitudes.  All ROP classes are designed to strengthen and broaden students’ secondary experience and research shows that students who take ROP courses improve their grade point averages, feel a greater connection to learning, and are more successful in college and careers once they graduate.  ROP is accredited, free to high school students, and meet once or twice a week offering high school students with 5 or 10 high school credits.

Registration for fall regional Coastline ROP classes opens May 3, 2021. Please see the flyer in the quicklinks for more information.
