Athletic Physical Exam Information
May 1st - September 1st: Preferred dates for Athletic Physical Exams.
An IUSD physical form and record of a sports physical examination dated between May 1st and September 1st is preferred. Having a physical date between May 1st and September 1st will eliminate the need to provide a new physical mid-season and cause the athlete to miss out on participation. The physical form must be uploaded to your student’s Athletic Clearance account before the student can be cleared to participate in athletic camp, practices or contests.
Every student wishing to participate in athletic activities; pre-season conditioning, tryouts, practices, or contests must be cleared by WHS Athletics. As part of the clearance process, every athlete is required to have a yearly physical one time per school year and register online at Athletic Clearance. Most insurance policies cover one physical per year. However, multiple locations in the Irvine area provide walk-in sports physicals. The service typically costs between $40-50. Call ahead to schedule an appointment and to check pricing. Bring the Physical Exam Form for the doctor to complete.

Once you have completed the online application, an email will be sent clearing your athlete or asking you to provide additional information or uploads. No need to bring in a printed copy of the physical form or confirmation page.
